The New Jewish Legion
American and other volunteers who help defend Israel and Jewish community TODAY
The New Jewish Legion is a group of Jewish defenders from around the world who seek to offer additional security to the Jewish community around the world as well as to help in the defense of Jews in Israel, and in isolated "settlements" in Judea, Samaria and Gaza.
The Jewish Legion encourages aliyah to Israel and offers courses in self-defense, Ulpan- Hebrew, and in Jewish philosophy and identity. The Jewish Legion works in coordination with the Hatikva Youth Movement, and Victims of Arab Terror International.
The Jewish Legion is presently seeking to create a special unit that will use dogs to detect and prevent terrorist attacks and infiltration into Jewish towns in Israel.
The Jewish Legion also seeks to create a unit within the IDF, composed of volunteers from abroad who will be given special training to defend roads and towns in Yesha.
In North America, Europe, Israel, South America, South Africa and Ukraine the Legion is actively recruiting. In North America the Legion has already commenced training young Jews in hand-to-hand combat, navigation, first aid, security guard courses, geography, Hebrew and more.
In Israel, a handful of Legion volunteers with military experience have already arrived to offer advice and to help wih guard duty in remote outposts.
In the U.S. and in Israel, the Legion seeks political, financial and technological support to widen the scope of operations.
In the U.S. the Legion seeks to team up with existing commercial licensed security companies to offer a wide range of licensing and job opportunities to Legion recruits, to sustain operation costs.
